Who manages the trek
Meesapulimala lies in forest land managed by the Kerala Forest Development Corporation (KFDC). Entry is tied to KFDC trek and stay programmes, and a KFDC forest guide walks with every group. You cannot walk in on your own from the estates.
Slots are booked in advance, either directly with KFDC eco-tourism in Munnar or through an organiser who books on your behalf. On the day, groups usually report in Munnar before the jeep transfer.
We are not KFDC. KeralaTrekking is an independent trek organiser. We book the KFDC slot, the jeep and the guide for you and run the trek with our own trek lead.
What a trip usually costs
| Cost part | Who sets it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| KFDC entry, stay and guide | KFDC | Varies with stay type: tent, Rhodo Mansion or Sky Cottage |
| Jeep, Munnar to base camp and back | Jeep operators | Charged per vehicle, shared by a small group |
| Meals | Camp or organiser | Often bundled with overnight stays |
| Trek lead and coordination | Organiser | Planning, briefing, support on the trail |
Our 2 day trek and camping package costs ₹3,999 to ₹5,000 per person, covering the jeep from Munnar, tent stay, meals, KFDC entry and forest guide. The exact price depends on your date, group size and stay type. Cottage stays and very small groups cost more because the jeep is shared by fewer people. KFDC revises its rates from time to time, so we confirm the price for your date before you pay.
