Who is behind this guide
This site is run by KeralaTrekking, a Kerala trekking community and organiser that started in 2023. We run guided treks across the state, from Meesapulimala and Agasthyarkoodam to Chembra and Brahmagiri, and we built this guide because the same questions about Meesapulimala come up every week.
What this site is, and is not
This is an independent guide. It is not a government website and it is not run by the Kerala Forest Development Corporation. KFDC manages the forest, the stays and the guides on Meesapulimala, and sets the rules, timings and fees. We book those for you and lead the trek.
Keeping it accurate
Rules, rates and access can change with little notice. We update these pages as things change, and we always confirm current details for your date before you pay. If you spot something out of date, tell us on WhatsApp and we will fix it.
How we trek
- Small groups with a trek lead who stays with the slowest walker.
- No plastic left behind, no speakers, respect for the forest guides.
- Honest advice on fitness and weather, even when it means suggesting another date.
